Meet Kimberley:
Curator • Teacher • Architect • Sister • Daughter • Wife

Hello! I'm Kimberley, a Zimbabwean-born South African currently residing in the beautiful land down under: Australia. With a diverse background and passion for discovery, I am happily immersed in exploration and learning.

Trained as a landscape architect, I've always had an eye for beauty and a love for shaping environments. While my roots lie in the realm of design, my path has led me to the captivating world of education. As a qualified ESL teacher, I have the privilege of guiding students from diverse backgrounds on their language learning journey.
Beyond the classroom, I pursue adventure, creativity, and cultural immersion. Whether it's diving into the pages of a captivating book, exploring new landscapes, or delving into the richness of different cultures, I find immense joy in the exploration of our world's wonders.
Intercultural Exchange is an extension of my passion and curiosity of people, places and stories. I truly believe that we are all global citizens, and invite you to embark on this exciting journey of cultural discovery, language learning, inspiration, and connection!

Meet Julie:
Teacher • Translator • Investor
• Mom

My journey into the world of words began innocuously enough, with a rainy evening and an old newspaper plucked from the stacks of discarded materials at my father's workplace. Little did I know that this seemingly mundane event would ignite a lifelong passion for reading and learning. At just 9 years old, I found myself captivated by the stories within those weathered pages, eagerly awaiting my father's return each evening with a fresh batch of newspapers, magazines, and books destined for recycling.

Fast forward to my teenage years, and I found myself drawn to the study of English language and literature. Enrolling in a teacher's college at the age of 15, I dove headfirst into the rich tapestry of English literature, reveling in the ability to read and understand stories from around the globe in their original language. It was a transformative experience, one that would shape the course of my life in ways I could never have imagined.
Armed with my newfound knowledge and passion, I embarked on a career as an English teacher, first in my native China and later in the multicultural melting pot of Australia. In the classroom, I found joy in sharing my love for language and culture with students from all walks of life. Whether it's discussing the works of Shakespeare or exploring contemporary literature from diverse corners of the world, I strive to create an environment where curiosity thrives and minds are opened to new possibilities.
Beyond the confines of the classroom, I find solace and inspiration in the act of travel. Roaming the globe, I have had the privilege of immersing myself in a kaleidoscope of cultures, from the bustling streets of Paris to the serene landscapes of Finland. Each journey is a lesson in humility and empathy, reminding me of the vastness of the world and the infinite stories waiting to be discovered.
Join me on this journey of exploration and discovery, as we navigate the boundless realms of language, travel, and life itself.
